Thank you for your informative review. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much. Most poetry I don't feel like I understand. I think I did understand some of this book due to her simple words. I appreciate it when people write or speak so everyone can understand what they mean. I also liked the wide variety of topics too. I'm sure those who enjoy this genre will be glad to read this book. For me, it just isn't enjoyable, so I will pass.

I'm not a poetry fan, so my experience in this genre is slim. However, the subjects addressed in this collection intrigued me enough to give it a try. The quote from the review especially caught my attention with its simplicity and wonderful impact on me.
"Those who feel grateful, and are eternally generous, experience life at its richest."

'Official Review: Finding My Wings' by Sandra Leon-Gonzalez presents a vivid picture of the contents of the poetry collection for avid readers. It enlists the important details of the drama and poetry book. The point that this is a literary work that addresses real personal and societal needs is worth mentioning in the review. Readers would note the book's contribution to social justice and upholding noble causes. Also, as mentioned in the review, the book addresses issues such as gun violence, racial discrimination, victimization of women, suppression of free speech, and environmental degradation. Lastly, the pictures inserted between the poems were appealing!

I'm not a huge fan of books written in poetry style, but I see how well Sandra Leon-Gonzalez uses it to tell her story. The topics are relevant and I believe this will appeal to a broad range of poetry lovers.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting collection of poems focusing broadly on the ideas/concepts of perseverance, love and freedom. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

A collection of poems with themes on personal evolution sounds like a great read. However, I'm not much of a poem lover, so I'll skip this one.

The topics of personal evolution, social injustice and collective victory are interesting to be discussed in a book so I’m looking forward to digging into this one to know what the author has to say about these.

Sandra Leon-Gonzalez's "Finding My Wings" explores personal and societal themes across three sections. Evoking perseverance, love, and freedom, the poems touch on personal growth, loss, social justice, and collective triumph. The collection resonates with a wide audience, particularly impacting with its themes of perseverance. Well-crafted and socially conscious, it deserves a five-star rating. This is a very informative and honest review. Thank you.
