This sounds like a charming book of poetry. The bits you shared resonates with me deeply. Thanks for sharing, and great review.

I am a wannabe poet myself, so I am curious to read this collection of verses. David Edmond seems to be a lover of life and love. I wish the sample had at least one poem, though.

Thanks for your review! I enjoyed reading it! Unfortunately, poetry isn't a genre that I enjoy these days so I don't think that this book will be a good fit for me. I'm sure that others will enjoy reading it though.

Thank you for the good review. I lost a bit my interest when you said it is a lot of love for God, but when I read the passages you've chosen, they caught my eye and made me want to give it a go

For those looking for a book with faith-based poetry and are the type that usually struggle to read or understand poetry - this one sounds like it will be an ideal read!

Regretfully, I have to give this one a pass. I am very emotional, even when I read, and this sounds like a book that, though lovely, would definitely bring tears. Beautifully written review!

It is wonderful that poetry helped the author cope with losing his wife. I am also glad that he chose to share his experiences with diverse cultures with us.

It's nice to see how a writer can rise from grief through words. This sounds like a very pleasant and appealing read. Thank you for the great review!

I was disappointed that the sample provided on Amazon only provides access up to the Table of Contents and no further. From your review, I was able to get a feel for his poetry. I appreciate that you included some passages. This book would be a great gift for someone who has suffered loss and may be looking for inspiration to find the beauty in life once again.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I enjoyed reading poems, I am amazed David express his loss through poems. Acceptance is very hard, but he tried to and his poems will help many people. Thanks for the review.
