While I am not a huge fan of poetry books, I can appreciate the theme the book is trying to convey. It sounds interesting.

While I appreciate the way that the author pieces together this book I don't think that it will be a good fit for me. I'm not an avid reader of poetry so I don't think that this would be a book that I'd enjoy reading. I do have to say that I applaud the author on the variety of topics that they address in this book. I'm sure that those who choose to read this book will enjoy it.

Where are we headed as the human race? I would like to know what the author thinks and how we should handle grief and the ever changing technology. This collection of poems would be a great discussion starter for a book club. Well organized and worth the read.

As someone who was also born in the 90s, I can relate to your review of this poetry collection. I also like how timely this poetry collection is considering the current state of our politics and the increasing divides across our nations. I am not the biggest fan of poetry because sometimes the ambiguous language makes it hard to understand, but I like the author's direct style of writing.

I typically don’t really like books like this but you have made it sound very interesting! I definitely agree that people are way too focused on technology & are losing touch with those around them so that section would be most interesting to me. Thanks for the great review!

:tiphat: this is one of the greatest types of books , I think books of poetry have the ability to become haphazard and confusing if not put together comprehensively. I'm glad the author took the time to organise it so well. :tiphat:

I love philosophy and psychology so this text makes for an interesting read. I love its depth into how humans operate and the way they react and feel in certain situations.
Interesting read 👍

After reading the sample, I concur with the official review that this book is a worthwhile read. The author seems intuitive and experienced and finds his poems through his life. I don't usually read any forms of poetry but this book struck a chord with me.

Thanks for your review! I only sampled the book, but as I'm not that much into poetry, it really has to have that something special for me to read. I appreciate a good review though. I liked how you described the book and also how you pointed out the various themes might resonate with different people.

I agree with you, that if you, " lean towards sincere, easy-to-understand poetry, then this collection is for you." I do love simple easy poetry and I like the uses of speaking about, "diversity, loss, and community" through this genre, seems to make the subject matter lighter.

I understand your point about how you generally prefer poems with complex and ambiguous language. I am glad that you liked this book overall though. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 rating.

Personally, I like poems with a bit more complex and ambiguous language, but I don’t feel it would be fair to deduct a star for personal preference in style. For those of you who do lean towards sincere, easy-to-understand poetry, then this collection is for you. The language is not difficult to follow, and the metaphors used are simple so that anyone can understand them. Many of the poems are quite didactic in nature, and others are open expressions of first-hand emotions, so keep all of that in mind when considering whether this type of poetry appeals to you. Again, I appreciate a less direct tone, but I can see how others would prefer this sort of writing.
I totally get your point because it happens to me when I read poetry in Spanish. However, this works for my advantage when reading poetry in English, because it's not my native language and can be harder to grasp.
It seems like this book approaches very important and relatable topics. Thank you!

I'm not usually one to read poetry, but this sounds a little different to most. If the author has used a simplistic style then perhaps this will be easier to read. Thanks for the review, I'll take a look!
