I always have fascination with poetry because of its usual deep meaning, the complicated style and the author's innermost thoughts. I am looking forward to know the story of this novel through this form. Congrats!

I find the art of storytelling through poetry fascinating, and this particular story sounds quite captivating. Great review.

The book is preferably a narrative poetry that dwells more on life's circles of challenges and experiences. If you ask me, it is a cool read. Great review!

Paddle to Paddle, by Lois Chapin is a collection of poetry that talks about the life story of an unnamed author from childhood to adolescence. I love poetry and have written some myself so I want like to read this book and flow with it paddle to paddle. Congratulations on BOTD.

I barely got through the sample of this book because of the vivid description of child abuse. Therefore, I doubt I will read the rest.

It is both a terrific and terrible thing that the author can put so much into so few words. It is a story of survival, though, which can be inspiring.

As we inch our way to the end of Poetry Month, I'm happy to see Paddle to Paddle as today's BOTD. Told in the 1st person POV, the narrator shares her life story through an emotional collection of poems, starting with her childhood. Sure to leave a lasting impact, this book is best fit for mature audiences, as it deals with many serious issues of hardship and struggle.

Thank you for your amazing review! It was well-written and very helpful! :-)

For lovers of both poetry and memoirs, this book manages to o tell a life story, complete with fully developed characters, settings, and events, all while being marketed as poetry.

Wow! I read a sample of the book and it wasn't at all what I was expecting when reading the title and cover. You really can't judge a book by its cover haha! I like the poetry format because it's something I rarely get to see. I can tell from the review that you truly connected with this book even if you may or may not have had the same experiences. :D

It is difficult for me to judge whether or not I will enjoy poetry based on reviews. However, after sampling the book, I find I enjoyed it. I still don't see how the cover of the book ties in to the subject matter, but am eager to find out.

This book seems very well written. Verse poetry is easiest for me to read because it is written more like a novel. However, the dark themes of most of the poetry seems like a difficult subject to read. I may read it at another time, but an unable to finish it right now.

I am not that into poetry, but, the review is so good that I want to try it. The narration in the first person through various phases of life makes it intriguing. Thank you for the free copy. Congrats on BOTD!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting collection of poetry following an unnamed narrator's life. It might be worth a second look. Well done.
