This sounds like a controversial yet intriguing prose. Fans of the genre should find it captivating. Great review.

I enjoy poetry books, and I have never read poetry books about the situation of LGBTQ+ people, so this one might be a good book for me. Also, the fact that it seems well written attracts me. I might give it a try. Thanks for the informative review!

Thanks for your review, it was insightful. However, although I am not a Christian I did not like the fact that the book seems to try and make claims about Christianity and Christians that are not correct. I felt it was like stirring trouble. I don't agree with violence against any people but have not witnessed it against homosexuals without anyone else. I think it is an issue that effects all people and blaming religion or certain people is, perhaps, stirring trouble. For this reason I was turned off the book. However, I appreciate your review.

Not sure I agree with subtracting a star simply because you, personally, disagree with the author's conclusions. Nevertheless, I enjoyed your review and am interested in reading this book. Thanks for the info!

Usually, I cringe at a mention of anything related to religion. This, however, sounds like a must-read! I appreciate the reviewer's stance on the fact that the author seems to have only based his discussion on the Bible, i.e. Christianity, and not any other religion. I do, however, think, that one can only right about a subject he/she is familiar with and had studied to some degree.
I may just give this one a real chance! Thank you for such an extensive and fair review!

The title of the book intrigued me as it is backward to all Christian belief. I thought it would be an open book about the divisiveness of Christianity, and I am pleased to find that it is. I was not expecting the LGBTQA+, yet I am pleased that the subject is being discussed in this way. Thank you for your insightful review.

From the title alone i could detect that the writer is heading towards how man may have, at some point, created a picture of God and made what we want to appear as what God wants. I was more surprised when i saw from the review that the book brings up issues on Homosexuality and how it's being viewed and handled by Christians. As the reviewer mentioned, the author could have broadened his scope of focus past christianity. The topic is indeed a very sensitive one to be discussed. I believe everyone is entitled to their personal opinion on subject matters, we can only try to find a common ground on tolerance. This wouldn't be such a good book for me as i might not be so comfortable with some of the content. Thank you for the honest review.

Homophobia is such a complex and controversial topic, I applaud the author for publicly opening up about the subject, but I disagree with the "author’s claim that violence and hate crime steems from the Bible". Why blame a book? Why not blame the people who put more emphasis on "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman" instead of putting emphasis on "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself"? 'Cause if they would have listened to the latter, then there would be no hate crimes at all. I think the problem is more complex than just putting the blame on a book.

The issue of hate and discrimination isn't new to mankind especially as it relate to homosexuality. The author's perspective seems well-researched and explained but one thing is still a fact, no matter the religion or belief, human are still humans. I think the hatred is not born out of religion but the mindset plus belief in human. I look forward to reading this book. Great review by the way.

I understand the author's concern on the issue of homosexuality but I also agree with you that not only Christianity dislikes the orientation. Thank you for the review!
