Rupi Kaur's work mildly reminds me of Lang Leav's work, due to both poets using simple wording and yet conveying a lot of emotion through those words. Universal themes such as love and heartbreak are emotions a lot of people can relate to, hence why I think Kaur (and Leav) got popular in the first place. I enjoy reading both, but I do agree that Kaur's work seems like it's just the line breaks that make it appear like poetry.

I have read the book I believe it was the best book ever read. I love poetry because it shows the author emotional side.

Poetry genius! I love her work, she perfectly encapsulates the way I feel. Her words are powerful and echo the realities so many women face.
