I understand that thing you mentioned about some poems only being grasped by the poet. This is also why I struggle to appreciate poems sometimes. But it seems like there’s also a lot of great works in this collection. Thank you for your recommendation.

It is an emotive read. I was literally brought to tears by a poem in this collection. I was surprised at my reaction—that’s never happened to me before.

The more I read poetry, the more I appreciate the ones that touch me. I am amazed at how long the imprint of a poem stays with me. There are many beautiful offerings in this collection—I hope you decide to give it a try.
