Poems bring another level to a book. Poetry always intrigued me because it can tell a story that can have different meanings from different people. Great review! Like many others, I found the idea of having both English and Spanish poems intriguing right off the back. I’d like to think this tactic works whether you speak both languages or not. If you like her poems enough in one language, you’ll want to go out of your way to translate those in the other. This also just may be the sort of push I need to pick up Spanish again. I was pretty good with it back in school and have considered learning to speak it fluently. I sometimes test myself to see how much I remember and it’s always a delight to find that I retained more than I thought. This book could be a useful tool for that as well as discovering some inspiring poems.
