I expected reading something different from what is presented in the book. Though I'm not a fan of this type of genre, but from this well-written review, the book seems to be interesting.

Wow, I love poetry books and this one seems to be so deep. The theme of depression caught my attention. It seems to have a lot of drama too. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the insightful review!

I also thought it was all about adulting. Empowering women is an important part of building the society. It drives a community filled with equality and utilizes the full potential of each genders. Human resources will be maximized, too. I'm looking forward to reading this book, your review got ne intrigued. I can't wait to be discover more about the author's perception.

The adulting book is written in the form of poetry and prose. The book is good the title of the book does not match what is in the book as old age is not mentioned much in the book. The author has described himself as a Kenyan as New York york writer. The author has addressed issues of politics, justice, compassion, and equality.

This is an interesting collection of free verse poetry on the authors upbringing in Kenya, her trip to Cuba, and New York city. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review that highlights the book perfectly. Congrats on the BOTD.

I must say, I am not one who particularly enjoys poetry. After reading your review, however, I am actually quite intrigued and slightly excited to read this book. Thank you for your points on the sexual references and the more serious outlook that the author took on topics as it gives me a fair warning for when I start reading this book myself. Thank you for your review, it gave me quite a bit of insight.

I too found the title misleading. The poetry I sampled was definitely not the light hearted jabs at the responsibilities of being an adult that I was expecting. The writer definitely has a talent of pulling the reader into a complete picture of what is happening; however, the strong emotional nature of this book is not for me.
I would suggest that due to the strongly emotional topics in the book, some type of trigger warning should be noted so that readers have a clearer understanding of what they are getting.

Great review! You've wonderfully summarised this poetry book. I'd very much like to read this book. I love the fact that the poetry's influenced by the poet/authors life. The writing also seems very good. Congratulations on making #BOTD

"Adulting" by Lindah Mogeni - Poetry and prose with interesting themes. A poem to a soulmate she has not yet met. I'm sorry the author had to suffer horrific sights, but not sorry that she has written so eloquently. The review was very thoughtful ad enlightening.

I misjudged this book by the title myself. I am a huge fan of poetry though, and thanks to the review I almost can't wait to read it.

I was also caught off guard by the title. It seems a nice read. Perhaps the title refers to the struggles and depression she underwent in trying to find her identity as a young girl.
This is quiest an awesome review. I will definitely read the book.
