I must admit that after I downloaded it because it is the BOTD and realized it was a book of poetry, I didn’t feel swayed to read more than the prologue and skim the titles of the poems. However, after reading your review, I can see how opening my mind to the author’s point of view could be beneficial.

I have young children at home, and these poems and the illustrations could be something we enjoy reading together. This book gives us the opportunity to discuss a topic we might otherwise overlook in our day-to-day routine.
