Official Review: A World Diverse 111 by David Edmond

Use this section to discuss drama books and poetry books. Drama includes plays but not novels. This includes work by Shakespeare, Marlowe, Miller etc. Poetry anthologies can also go here.

It is not everyday you find a poetry book where all the poems have an overarching theme making all the poems connect and weave together. This review was both straight to the point and accumulative, so I appreciate it very much. As a poetry enthusiast, i enjoyed previewing this book.

I like the way these poems are divided in the book. There is a clear progression of themes that helps the reader focus on each section. Poems that are easy to understand seem more approachable. Great review. Thanks.

Great review! I like how you don’t allow your personal preferences to alter your impartial assessment of this book. Even though I am not really a poetry lover myself, I’m sure this book will appeal to many. Thank you.

I'm more into a read-between-the-lines type of poetry but I'd be happy to give this book a try. I'm particularly intrigued by how the poet wrote his poems pertaining to the advancement of technology. Thank you for your review!

It is cool that this book deals with the relationships between people, but I do not like books of poetry, so this one is not for me.

This sounds extremely interesting. I don't usually like poetry, but I might actually give this collection a chance. I'm especially interested in the section about technological advancement.

Books of poetry are not generally my cup of tea, but once in a while, I find myself drawn to one if I feel that the poems are particularly well-crafted or insightful. Like you, I'm also more of a fan of poetry with more complex language, but I think Edmond's simplistic style is part of what helps to drive home his point. His poem featured in the sample where he paints an image of life as a train making many stops was quite vivid and memorable. Thank you for your review!

Poetry is diverse in itself, allowing for all kinds of stories to be told and experiences to be had! I would like to look into this!

The review is good, the book looks good too. The diversity of topics discussed in this book makes it very attractive. As an advocate for virtues and ethics, the first part will be of great importance to me.

Thanks for your review! The themes discussed in the collection seem to be universally relatable. Everyone can resonate with ideas of self-discovery and peace. I can see how some may not enjoy the direct narrative style. I think that this would allow for the author's message to be more digestible to readers.

“Journey’s End”, the first poem in A World Diverse 111, immediately captured my interest and I wanted to read more of David Edmond’s work. Being a passenger on a milk train, though I’m not familiar with the term, as a way of describing one’s path through life creates such a vivid image. It made me think of loved ones who have already reached their final destination. Thank you for a helpful review.
