Poems are not really my type of book to read. Thanks for the good review though

It's not often that I've found work about the darker side of women's love. That this collection makes a mostly successful attempt to explore it is encouraging, and now I want to read it. The lines you've quoted throughout the review also helped me determine that I'd like to see what the poet does with it.

Just the title alone was my first clue that this book was not for me. I went ahead and read the sample to give it a chance, and when I saw it was poetry, that was the second strike against it for me. The chasing after a man or men is just not my idea of a strong, confident woman, and your description of the poetry getting syrupy was exactly what I thought from just the opening pages. Great, thorough review, but this just doesn’t fit my reading preferences.

Wow this sounds like a fascinating collection that has been tied together well with the common theme.

Thanks for the review, but I very rarely read poetry, and this tome that focuses on the author's feelings and thoughts on men is also a 'no' for me.

I'm not a poetry person and I've always struggled with books full of poetry. However between reading the sample and your review I'm thinking about picking it up. I'm intrigued about the main characters ideas about love, especially because it doesn't seem to be love at all, but something closer to obsession that is described.

Credit has to be given to the poet for sharing her fears and desires as well as she does. Great review!

I really don't fancy poetry but I will try out Confessions of a Manaholic by P. Pierre reason being it is a short collection of poetry written in the free verse style and lyrically evoking the ravishing effects of love turned into obsession and addiction. Great work by the author.

Poems are not really something I enjoy. But based on your review it seems that the author did a good job with writing them. Definitely would not like syrupy wording as you mentioned. So I know to skip this one. Thanks for a great review!

Love turned into obsession and addiction - interesting topic. I've got the impression that this book is too dark and confusing for me, though. Too naked...

You really dug deep to find meaning in each part of that book and I can appreciate that. A lot of times reading poetry can be difficult as it’s not just laid out for you to understand but you have to think on it. This was a great review! Thank you!

I really love this review because it shows how much the reader digested and analyzed the set of poems. Very helpful for the potential reader of this book.

Thanks for a great review, but poetry is not my favourite. Even the subjuct matter does not appeal to me. I love romance but I don't think this classifies as romance because it seems that the women are bordering on psychopaths or stalkerish.
