Wow, you mean someone can create pictures and shapes using words? I don't think I can believe this until I read the book myself. I'm picking up this book to read right away. Thanks for this eye-opening review.

"Artwords" by Beatriz M. Robles brought a different idea to the fore. Calligram is an amazing technique that only a few people are aware of. Congrats on BOTD. Beautiful review.

The combination of prose, poetry and ordinary objects along with the intelligent use of words in Artwords, seems like a delightful experience. The fact that it's well-edited and approachable makes it even more appealing.

I am SO INTRIGUED by this concept. I'm usually content with digital copies of just about everything (more as a space saver than anything else), but this book does seem like the physical copy would do it more justice.

It's very sensual, isn't it? I'm not a fan of poetry usually, but I Iike the concept of this book. Kidding Around was my favorite; I mean, who doesn't love the sound of coins dropping into a piggy bank? I agree this is a book for adults; the sexual metaphors are too present for younger viewers.
