Penelopes Purple Passions is a collection of peoms that told the story of how the author navigated life experiences (love, heartbreak, pain etc). Instead of writing in the conventional manner of going straight to the point, the author passed life messages in form of a poem. Good read.

Drama and Poetry is most definitely not something I would willingly dedicate my rare free time. I mean, yes, there were school assignments which required such reading and I complied, admittedly quite reluctantly. But considering that English is not even my native language chances that I will be tempted to read this book, no matter how well described in reviews, are nonexistent. Still, congrats on BOTD!

I love that Chaisson's writing style is easy to understand that they used simple terms over complicated ones. I'm curious to know the relevance of the butterfly and the color purple

Loved the book. I used to write my own poetry and this book reminds me of why I write poetry. Definitely inspires me to write poetry again!

I would read the love poem just to understand the writers point of view when it comes to love. It's a topic that eludes me. Even though poems aren't my thing, I really don't know how to interpret them. Congrats on the book of the day

The review is self explanatory as to the heart-rending contents of the book.I have just gone through the sample and immediately associate myself with the roller coaster ride you experience in your journey from birth to growing up, to falling in love, to feel the pain of being hurt by loved one's and the final strengthening of your heart and soul to enable you to move ahead in this cruel world and face the destiny games. Penelopes Purple Passions is a must read for poetry and prose lovers irrespective of their gender. I will definitely pick up the book to read and learn about life.

The sample got me thinking of past relationships and friendships with people that I do not talk to anymore, a reminder of how life is not linear unlike what I was taught growing up. I do not read very much poetry, but the writing is easily understandable. I also enjoyed this review.

In general, I'm not a fan of poetry because I find it hard to understand, but this book seems easy to comprehend. This collection of poems offers insightful lessons about love and life. They address the author's love, life, pain, anguish, and how she recovered by discovering herself.

Authors that take time to ensure their books are well-edited save their readers alot of time that would otherwise have been wasted trying to place words in their correct context. Thanks for the review.
