It is interesting to read how Sandra Leon-Gonzalez contributed to social justice and noble causes through her poetry of "Finding My Wings," which also addressed personal and societal issues using the language of evocation, declaration, assertion, appeal, and melancholy; and several poetic devices.

What mesmerized me was the poem titled "Let's Start Over," which helped me look at myself in the mirror. I should strain to deal with my life personally without trying to mend others, but make them see the light that I have.

This book is a collection of poems with a common theme of fighting. However, it is not about violence but fighting for what is right. I think I would have liked this book more if it was in prose form. However, in poetic form, no idea. Congratulations on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

The review provided a wealth of information. The book appears to be captivating, weaving together themes of personal growth, grief, societal inequality, and communal triumph. I'm excited to immerse myself in its pages and discover more about the author's narrative.

This poetry collection addresses a variety of personal and societal issues, and this makes it a suitable read for a wide audience. The writer talks about what is happening in the society, individual's life. It also gave ways to go about it having victory over the menace of what life brings to the table. I give this book 5/5. I'm not big on poetry, but after sampling just a couple of poems from this book, I was hooked, really looking forward to the next poems. I've especially loved its simplicity--messages are conveyed with so much clarity in such a poetic fashion.
