This sounds like an interesting collection of modern drama that addresses subjects that are relevant in the society. I may not be interested with immigration issues, but I won't mind checking the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Great review, Sarahmarlowe. Thanks.
Yes, Kenneth Pickering creatively compiled a series of modern drams written by some famous authors and play writers: Hannah Khalil, Kate Al Hadid, and Hassan Abdulrazzak, made readers introduce the literary pieces and their writers, cultural setup, and drama themes with anger, humor, symbolism, and absurdism.
A great collection of Plays of Occupation and Dispossession.

At a certain point in our lives, we all felt out of place. I believe it is good for our mental health to acknowledge that reality. So we may be able to overcome it once we felt it again. Sadly, you had to deduct a star for something the writers and editors could have avoided. I hope they can do something about it. Thank you for the review. Keep it up!

This is something new to me. An anthology of plays about issues that affect refugees and the generation's that follow after them. Must be touching!

I agree to all that you said. There is just one thing that should be added: the first text, about the French- British negotiation to share the the Suez Canal area was written by Kenneth Pickering himself, so he is not just the editor but also contributor to the book.
Thank you for the nice review! :tiphat:

This anthology focuses on refugees and the difficulties they face. The reader learns about the history and background of the authors before reading each drama.

Well I'm not into drama but I'm sure it's a magnificent read. It's always a good idea to give a chance to something different to what you're used to.

Some of the particular themes mentioned in the book that talks about immigrants and refugees, topics that are hardly touched by others. I like that the review provided enough insight about the book to know that we can't simply put it typical category. More importantly it's a contributed work that means we'll have different set of knowledge but all redirecting us to the main theme.
