Thanks for the insightful review. I have never been much of a poetry fan but your review gave me the incentive to read this book. Having read the first few poems I am definitely sure I want to read the entire book! With some poems, where you have to get the underlying message, my interpretation is always different than anyone else's!. I remember in English Composition in college we had, what I thought, were very hard poems we had to find an underlying message in and I usually came up with something different than everyone else! Maybe that's why I have never enjoyed reading poetry. Anyway, I liked what I've read so far so I will forge ahead with "The Golden Window!"

This book sounds like something very different from the poetry books that I have read in the past. I like that the words in the poem not only fit the theme, but also the formatting as well. I like that the author thought through this collection of poetry to make each detail stand out. I also enjoy that the author talks about care giving which is a full time job for many families.

Brandt's methodical arrangement of the poems is quite intriguing. His approach takes the poems to another level where the reader experiences a full immersion from the onset. Having the poems being relatable to the readers is another great bonus. Kudos to Brandt for the wonderful penmanship.
