From the title, I also felt I was about to read a review of an adult book. I’m surprised that the author has a different definition of adulting. Your analysis is quite detailed.

When I read the sample, I was also expecting something more whimsical and witty. I did not get that, so it did fall below my expectations when reading the sample. Sadly, I will be passing on it, but I enjoyed the author's humor even though it was not what I had expected. :)

Wow! This will certainly be a very powerful read. I especially appreciate the author's willingness to talk about sensitive topics in such a serious unwavering manner. The author definitely has an artistic nature that should definitely be appreciated. Wonderful review!

Based on the title, I also expected something a little more light-hearted. It sounds like a great book nonetheless, and I enjoy reading deep, emotional poetry. Graphic sexual content, especially rape, puts me off significantly, unfortunately. I think I'll still give it a try. Thanks for the trigger warning and the wonderful review!

I haven't read a poetry book in ages. Although this book seems to capture the true concept of expressing through free verses, I don't feel like reading something that contains adult content.

A beautiful collection of poetry and prose in the book "Adulting" by Lindah Mogeni, which covers the five section of the author's life namely, longing, learning, womanhood, identity, and character. The book appears quite appealing.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

When I saw the title, I was expecting to read about the scam that is adulthood. All the same, I'm g that the author, through poetry, touched on sensitive topics to help us see the treasures called life and moments.

I was expecting something a little different, too, but I like the author's poetry. Thank you for the review.

Excellent review! I am not a poetry lover so I will pass on this one. However, I enjoyed reading your review. I agree with your thinking about the poems about rape. Since it was a theme in several I would also think it came from something in the background!

It sounds like a book I'd enjoy – I'm quite interested to know how the visual imagery differs for poetry vs. prose. I really appreciate the warning about the graphic content. Thanks for the great review!

This book was today's giveaway and while I don't always go for them, this one really called to me for some reason. Your review definitely confirms the hunch!
