I am not a huge fan of poetry but when I first took a look at the book I very much appreciated the story the poems seemed to tell. I have just started to read the book but the way it is written really catches my attention. While reading what others have to say about the book it is obvious that there are more mature topics throughout the book, but it truly does seem like an interesting read. Sounds very unique can't wait to read the whole thing!

I'm not so much a fan of poetry, I think I will have to pass this one. But having read the review I think the writer did a pretty good job in the book.

I've never tried reading poetry before because I am not a fan. And because of that, I can say that I didn't know that poetry could tell a story that is a book long. So congrats to the author.

I sampled the book and the first person narrative used really draws one into the writing. I really like this poetry style.

A collection of poetry that relays the story of an unnamed narrator’s life sounds interesting. That it's well-written is a big plus for the boo; however, I am not interested in poetry at this time – I'll pass.

Upon reading a sample of the book, I thought it was disjointed, so it's illuminating to know from this reviewer that the poems are actually a life story. I wonder, however, if there's a substantive difference between poetry and narrative poetry.

I'm not into poems much. But this collection sounds like a great literary piece. This book discuss some deep and mature themesb in life. Even though not a fan I appreciate the work of the author. Thank you for a great review.

I have a love/hate relationship with poetry, but I might be able to get into this collection. It sounds profound, intense, and beautiful, even if some of the themes seem a bit hard to swallow—or, perhaps, because of that. Thank you for the helpful review.

The collection of poetry is thought-provoking and meaningful in the sense it depicts real life themes and the raw emotions related to it. I believe the narration is pretty strong and engaging as well. Thank you for the detailed review.

I have never seen or heard of anyone narrate a story through poetry.

The author must have mastered the act.

Your review makes it look even more believable.

Thank you.

This one definitely seems to cover a lot of important topics like, themes of child abuse, rape, parenthood, marriage, divorce, aging and family. Poems get pretty deep and some stories I can unfortunately relate to. Which is why I probably wont read this one. Congratulations on BOTD.
