Wisdom’s House by Andrea M Owens is a small non-fiction book containing many of the author’s inspirational quotes related to wisdom. The writer identifies various characteristics that are related to wisdom. She then describes these attributes, writing down her ideas in small phrases. The author’s tone is sophisticated and deep, as she delves into profound themes in the text.

The writer begins by sharing her purpose, explaining that wisdom, peace, and faith are necessary if humanity wishes to live abundantly in prosperity and wellbeing. Next, she mentions that faith, reason, humility, gratitude, justice, peace, and truth are vital in the quest for wisdom. She then analyses the meaning of faith, writing that every journey begins with faith. She adds that faith gives wisdom and universal kindness, but she also describes the necessity of coupling faith with reason to find wisdom. Moving on, she analyses reason, which leads people to knowledge, understanding, and peace, allowing them to change their minds and humbly know the heart of their souls’ intentions. After this, the author explains that humility opens the heart’s eyes, as humility joins with divine grace to find moral solutions to society’s problems.

There were plenty of positive attributes in this book. To be more precise, the author encouraged and uplifted the reader, sharing numerous positive phrases through the text. Moreover, the book was logically structured, as it followed a rational and coherent pattern, helping the reader understand the process by which he/she can gain wisdom. Furthermore, the author’s ideas were original and unique, as it was clear that the writer gave the text plenty of thought. What I liked most about this book were the illustrations, which added vividness and variety to the book, thereby grasping my attention.

One of the things I disliked about this book was that it contained too many errors when taking to account its small length, which can be corrected with another round of professional editing. What I disliked most about this book was that it was boring and monotonous, as the author was repetitive.

This book is best suited for Christian readers enjoying motivation books related to wisdom. This is a very short book, so it will be appreciated by readers who like a quick read. Christian readers will prefer this book because it contains a verse from the Bible and some references to Christianity.

In conclusion, I rate this book with 2 out of 4 stars. A lower rating would have been too strict because the book is correctly structured, original, and beautifully illustrated. However, I did not give it more stars due to its errors and its monotony.

What a shame about all the errors and the boring tone of the book since the premise sounded like it would be interesting. Thank you for your honest review though.

Well, you described the book as if it's pseudo-philosophy. I think that the book's more of a self-notes than an actual book written for an audience.

It seems like this might be a nice book to read in tidbits, as it is uplifting, inspirational, and thought provoking, but the repetitive nature and grammar errors steer me away for the time being. Thank you for an honest review!

Wisdom is definitely worth seeking but there must be a better way to study it than through monotonous repetition. Thanks for your review.

Might I suggest that some errors and repetition can be accredited to the poet trying out different styles and techniques. I would have to read the book to be more certain of this. This is a very thorough and excellent review. Thank you !
