4:04 AM Thoughts by Barbara Gianquitto is a collection of beautiful poems that cover a wide range of topics. From poems about love and heartbreak to self-love and courage, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The poem In solitude is about believing we can save ourselves and not waiting for someone else to come in and save us. The poem Earth energy is about being kind to yourself and allowing your body to take a break.

I like that the author didn’t choose a random title for their book and instead, chose a title that was meaningful. The title of the book represents the time of night the author would often find themselves awake at. This makes the book more personal and interesting to read.

I don’t read many poetry books because I find a lot of them difficult to understand. However, that was not the case for this book. I understood every single poem, and I felt like I could relate to a lot of them. The author writes in a way that makes it feel like the author is speaking to you. There are also beautiful illustrations alongside the poems which make the poem come alive.

The poems all vary in different lengths, so it doesn’t take a long time to get through them all. I enjoyed a lot of the poems but if I had to pick a favourite, I would pick Do not give up. I’m feeling down in my life right now, so reading this poem has encouraged me to keep going and not give up on my goals. If you’re in a similar situation, then I recommend you also read this poem.

Every poem is unique in its own way, and each one tells its own story. Reading a poem first thing in the morning and before you go to sleep can improve your mood drastically. Gianquitto’s poems will leave you feeling inspired and motivated to take on the world.

There was nothing I disliked about the book. I think this is the perfect book to read in the evening when you want to unwind and relax. There are over 100 poems in this book, so you will not get bored.

Overall, I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I think it truly deserves this. I found no mistakes, so it is professionally edited. The book contains no profanity, so it is suitable for anyone to read. I highly recommend it to everyone who needs a bit of motivation in life. Also, anyone who’s been through a breakup recently can benefit from reading this book.

The title sure knows how to grab
one's attention. I gravitated to the title out of curiousity towards the thoughts formulated at such early hours of the day. The description of the poem Earth energy seems like one that would definately be my favourite.

It's an interesting concept, to collate all your midnight thoughts and to convert it into a poetry book with topics that I gather from your review are quite relatable.

I think that 4:04 AM Thoughts is a really good title, because I read something about how people are more vulnerable in the night, therefore people are honest most of the time when they are having night talks. I feel like because of this, the book and the poems become more personal and more honest. Will definitely be checking this out. Thank you for your review!

This review sounds interesting and the fact that you easily understood the poems would spur me to read this collection of poems.
