The COVID-19 pandemic era was a trying time for a lot of people. Practically everyone was affected by the situation on the ground, and Lori Schneider was no exception. A Brighter Tomorrow is a book written by Lori Schneider, who got her inspiration from the events of the COVID-19 period and the general elections that took place in America that same year. Lori also dedicates this book to all those who risked their lives to help others during that trying period. Lori, being a medical professional herself, understood the great work and efforts her colleagues put in to ensure the safety and general well-being of others. This is what inspired Lori Schneider to write a series of poems in honor of these events.

These poems by Lori Schneider contain themes like survival, love, sacrifice, creativity, safety, justice, courage, and so many others. The poems are written in both first-person and omniscient narratives. They use literary devices like rhyme, imagery, apostrophes, metaphors, and so on. The poems are written in a very simple language and are easy to understand. The poems tell stories of people, events, and places. The book also contains quotes from great people. The poems have different topics, which in turn have sub-topics under them.

One major draw of this book for me is the colorful front cover and the pictorial illustrations that accompany every poem. The background of the book contains different colors too. I also like the fact that the book talks about current events and the need for us to take safety precautions. This 50-page book emphasizes certain values and talks about the need for us to live together in peace and harmony irrespective of our differences. I love the narrative style of the author in writing these poems. At some point, it feels like you are reading an interesting story that you can't let go of.

The book's only flaw was the small font in which it was written. It is difficult to decipher the words until they are enlarged manually. However, this is not enough to reduce my love for this book. The book is also exceptionally well-edited, as I noticed no errors while reading. It is for this reason that I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book contains no vulgar words and is recommended for all lovers of good poetry.

A Brighter Tomorrow shows that irrespective of how bleak our present condition is, there is always hope for better days. It is a book that people will read and thank me for.
