Thank you for the great review. While it may be heartwarming to know that life goes on in Syria despite the war, it is still heartbreaking to know that this life is marred by scars from the war. The poems in this book show just how these fractured lives are for the remaining people in Syria. Reading the book may ignite emotions, but importantly it gives awareness of the ravaging and devastating effects of war for those who have to live through it.

One thing the media fails to mention and even show to the world is that people's lives continue even amidst and after the conflict. The fact that the poems are moving is fascinating and I look forward to poring over them. Many thanks for the informative, captivating review.

Hi @Leonie Vermaak, I thought the sample was way too short but what it included were poems that were different than the poetry I normally expect. Very good comments. Thank you. @Mrlefty0706 @jackwinnick @jwinnick1

"Voices from a Forgotten Letter" by Seif-Eldeine is a collection of poems showing the impact of the Syrian war and the lives of people after it. It is true that we all have just heard the stories that the media showed us. The author has done a great job putting the struggles of people in the form of poetry. The author sells hope of life going on despite everything that people have gone through. This is a very honest and informative review indeed. Thank you.

It sounds like a really fascinating book. Although I'm not generally a huge poetry fan, this issue is so delicate and deep that I think reading poems about it would be a great way to convey all the emotions involved.
Great review very interesting and well-written.

I've always wondered how life is like for people living in war-torn zones. This book answers that question. The truth is, no matter the situation, as long as one is still breathing, one must keep living.
Thank you for the review.

Hi @Naushin Moledina, I really liked your comments on the book of poetry "Voices from a Forgotten Letter". You must have read the book or at least more than the sample since the sample was too short. @Mrlefty0706

Hi @Neha Panikar, I really liked your comments on the official review of "Voices from a Forgotten Letter". I made me think of the ancient Greek poems that made the death and destruction seem ok while this book clearly shows how much suffering has occurred in Syria. Good review. @Mrlefty0706

The author has made us realize the sorrow of war's refugees. Wars are occurring for conquering imaginary borders, repulsive blows against perceived enemies, and so on. The author shows the tragedies of Syria's conflict through poetry.

Poetry isn't for me, and while I applaud the author for showing us the other side of the war — people getting on with their daily lives — I'm going to give this one a miss. I'm glad that you got a lot out of it, though.

Hi @Amy_Jackson, we have been so fortunate not to have lived in a war-torn country and I pray that as bad as the current political climate is in the U.S. today that it never results in another civil war. b@Mrlefty0706
