The Truth I Must Invent by Francis DiClemente is an interesting book filled with fascinating poems that left me thinking and pondering certain realities about life and humans as a whole. This book is divided into six categories. The first category contains 6 poems, the second category contains 13 poems, the third category contains 18 poems, the fourth contains 8 poems, the fifth contains 11 poems, and the final category contains 11 poems. Some of the poems were concise, while others were a bit lengthy. The brevity of these poems did not affect their message. They still made a lot of sense. Some of the poems made me emotional, as the messages were very touching. Some of the poems in this book contain deep messages that could get anyone thinking.

I enjoyed reading this for several reasons. One such reason is that the poems were interesting to read. I also admire the author’s writing style. It was simple and concise. There was no use of ambiguous words. I could relate to it. There were some valuable lessons I also learned from this poetic book. Most of these lessons were about life, reality, challenges, being mature, and fatherhood. I also got to learn some secrets about poem writing from this book. I did notice only one grammatical error in this book. Therefore, it was professionally edited.

There is only one thing I did not like about this book. It is the fact that some of the poems contained profane words that I thought were unnecessary. I feel the poems would have still made perfect sense, and the message the author was trying to communicate would have been communicated well without the use of profane words. Apart from this, there is nothing else I dislike about this book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is because I enjoyed the poems and the valuable messages they contained. I recommend this book to lovers of poetry.
