Review of May We Learn from the Earth
May We Learn from the Earth: Nature Poems and Reflections on the Environment was written by poet and nature lover Robert J. Tiess. The book talks about how we should take care of the Earth and make it safe for now and the future.
This book has two parts. The first part contains poems about different aspects of nature. The poems are like very detailed pictures that show us what nature is like. They use appropriate analogies to help us visualize the scenes. I liked how the poems discussed topics that everyone could relate to. He turned mundane things dramatic by gradually describing natural events line by line, allowing the book to hold a person's attention and make them savor the poem bit by bit. In the poem "Rock Concert," for example, Tiess compares a thunderstorm to a music concert, with raindrops as the lead singer and lightning as the cue for the thunder drummer. The author intended for the poems to be interesting and relatable to a wide range of people, and I believe he succeeded admirably.
The second part of the book contains reflections and suggestions on nature. It is optional, so you can read it in any order, just like the poems. In this part, the author shows his appreciation for the Earth and encourages people to take care of it. He does not just say the usual "save the Earth" message but explains why it is important and what happens when human activities harm the Earth and some of its weeping signs appear. This section serves as a reminder to be kind to and empathize with the Earth. To help readers understand and improve their Earth knowledge, the author also included a glossary with definitions of Earth terms and additional Earth literature.
This book's exceptional editing allowed me to read it without difficulty. I enjoyed everything about the book and now award it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. I believe that anyone who loves and cares about the Earth would enjoy this book. It can also serve as a good starting point for learning more about how to care for our planet.

Such authors should be appreciated as they are doing a great work. We all should love nature because it is very essential for our existence.Rica Concepcion wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 09:20 It is heartwarming to know that there are authors out there who write about saving and taking care of our planet. so that the future generation can still enjoy nature's beauty. The author's brainy concept to help readers understand and improve their Earth knowledge is excellent. Also, the review was very good and excellent as well. nice work
