I'm not a fan of history books however I'm fascinated with the way this reviewer described this book here. I was beginning to think that I needed that kind of book in my life. It seems the author is a great writer, so here's me congratulating him for winning BOTD with his book.

I appreciate how the author employs various poetic devices to convey her messages effectively without overwhelming the reader with unnecessary complexity. It's refreshing to encounter a text that strikes a balance between depth and accessibility, as seen in the poem 'Truth Stands.

It looks like an interesting poetry book that covers several themes like social injustice, loss, grief, truth and personal growth. While the poems are intriguing, I think I will skip the book for now. Thank you for your review!

Poetry can lift the reader up and the reviewer of "Finding My Wings" by Sandra Leon-Gonzalez states that they loved this book. There are many themes that are mentioned and social justice is just one of the necessary themes in this volume. The poetry is divided into three sections and there are illustrations or pictures that enhance the pages to bring even more meaning to the poetry. Thanks for the great review!

‪A beautiful tour of life, love and self discovery. The book is inspirational and was a great read. The poems confront the darkness in the world head-on, yet urge readers to continue fighting for a more just and inclusive future. ‬

Poems that echo the fire within, leading one along the path of self-belief that takes one from the depths to the peak, both personally and societally. I liked the writing; simple yet effective. Congrats on BOTD!

." These lines, "I have a new commitment / No longer insecure or timid of my being / I pull back from the edge of darkness / Reclaim the brightness of my light / Our union now cemented / I enjoy just being with me, especially brought me some fresh energy and gave me the courage to move on. I am grateful for that.
- I agree. One has to be comfortable in one's own skin, to do anything. A fantastic review. Thank you.
