From the book's description that it's a collection of prose poems, it seems an exciting read. Though I was a little annoyed when I learned that women have been portrayed negatively by the author, I would like to explore how he dealt with other subjects as diverse as identity clashes in a different culture and the effects of war.

I love how earnest the review of this book was. From the review it was clear that Osaki had flooded each lines of this book with the emotions he has felt and he had longed to share with people of what he had to endure. Well, I'm totally here for it. I'm looking forward to reading this book. Congratulations to you Osaki.

This sounds like a very unique collection of poems. As a lover of poem novels, I don't think the negativity towards women would completely stop me from reading this book. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I haven't read a psychological representation of trauma through a poetic book and this would be the surest way. Thanks for the review.

The prose poetry is definitely going to be fun to read.  I like the fact that Osaki did not shy away from sensitive topics like Asian-American stereotypes and the struggle of living in a predominantly white society. Well done.

I have always wanted to know about the Vietnam War's history and aftermath, but I am not a fan of poetry. I think I would have appreciated this work better if it was a memoir.

Prose poetry seems to be a unique and fascinating way to convey the individual thoughts, cultures and experiences of war. I agree with the reviewer that the distressing portrayal of women is a concern. Very nice review.

The struggles of an Asian-American in a White society must have been tough on Osaki. I wish he did not portray women negatively to buttress his point.

It is often being said that the damages caused by wars can't be recovered or forgotten For years. A typical example is the Vietnam War. Nice review!
