Well, the wives in this story had no time to vacuum. They were too busy with other activities - gambling, opium, sex, and murder.

This sounds like an interesting read. I like the review and agree with the comments about the title. Coming up with the perfect title can be one of the most difficult things to do. The perfect word or phrase for the title of your book can be elusive and daunting to find. Perhaps the author could have used a single adjective or adverb that promotes interest. In any case, it seems like the story is a genuinely good read.

Truthfully, that little book of texts would not be a good fit for BOTM. Everyone would just wind up chatting about their own work stories. It would probably be funny, but not a true discussion about the book.

Yeah, I don't know. I'm on the fence, not having read it. But I do agree that this book is a more apt choice! We can joke around about bad wives and their tailors.
