@LivreAmour217

This sounds like a very interesting book, great review! I'm going to add it to my to-read list! In my classroom, I have two young girls, one is twelve and the other is thirteen years old. I actually think both will like this book too, so I'm going to recommend it to them as well! Thanks, again!

You won't be disappointed, and neither will they! Meg is very talented, and the moral of the story is outstanding!

My niece is about to turn 13 and I really think this could be a great book for her. She is raised in a Pentecostal family and attends school at a private Christian academy. In traditional fashion, her family tries to protect her from being exposed to inappropriate/mature things too soon. I have read a few books in this age range that still contain some curse words and questionable content, especially for someone that is so removed from a more urban environment. I appreciate that this book does not include inappropriate language or content and, as an experienced behavioral/mental health worker with this age group, I also appreciate that it does bring to light the struggles that one might face at this age. Do you feel that this book would be appropriate/useful for her?

Great review! I loved your comparison of Forever Twelve to The Babysitters Club series by Ann M. Martin. My girls loved that series and so do I!! From reading your review, Forever Twelve sounds like a book I would like to read. I've always liked Ann M. Martin's style. As a writer myself (although yet unpublished) I love reading books for the middle school age group, not just for entertainment, but also for inspiration for my own developing style and to learn what middle schoolers are currently reading. Meg Kimball just might become another favorite author of mine for this age group! Thank you for reviewing Forever Twelve!

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I loved the book, myself. Great use of subtle humor, and an inspiring story. What's not to like.:)

Forever Twelve sounds amazing! As the step-mother to both a tween and a teen this book is sure to make it into some bodies stocking at Christmas and maybe even a family reading project. I really appreciated the comparison to "Babysitters Club" that put this book into the must category before I even finished reading!

I love your review, and reading the description made me not only think about The Babysitter's Club, but also Sweet Valley High. You have made me want to purchase this book.

A well-presented review of a book that seemed lovingly produced. An advice column in a middle school paper is such a clever idea (and full of potential!). I'm wondering if the girls made up their own questions to answer ... like abby and ann.
