The Locked Door Opened
We did feel we’ve already known each other for a long time.
He looks like a normal man: the strong arms, sharp eyes, and a bit sense of humor.
When you talk to this kind of guy, you’re fond of him actually.
I hate to like a person, since I’m totally not good at dealing with that sort of “feeling”.
Even so, I swear I really almost changed my mind to wonder about the marriage after he just came in mind.
Would I keep talking about our story? I don’t know if you’ll think of that is interesting, but I just move on.”
“Should I pretend I’m listening?”
William replied, my little nephew, who is Laura’s son with half blood in Australia.
“Would you mind?”
“Yeah..actually, Aunt, I really like listening to your love story, but you know what..it’s weird that you look like you’re talking to a camera, or on TV talk show..a bit..okay.. never mind”
“You swear you’ll pay attention to it.”
“Yes, I promise.”
“It’s been a long long time ago..”
“Only three years?..okay..okay..my fault..”
William is only seventeen that was the young age to think about what he’s gonna want to be. Every week, we have a talking time about various topics in my house. I prepare some food, and he cooks a bit—he really gets talent on this.
Today, the topic is “love”, which not between mom and dad, but a relationship.
“Aunt, before you give this story, may I have a question?”
“Yeah, what?”
“Are you still waiting for him?”
“Well..let me try it. Imagine this, a locked door is open.”
“Yeah..?” He puts a piece of pie into mouth and says.
“What’s gonna happen?”
“The door is locked, and it’s open? Open or locked?”
“The door is like my heart, and I lock it because I have to keep myself on my road. You’re right, I’m still waiting for him. But unfortunately, only the door there, I’m not stay.”
“Okay..you’re still waiting for him; what’s more, he’s gonna have a trip which you had went through as he choose to go into the door?”
“Good job, William, you get it.”
“Not surprised, right? My dear Aunt.”
“Alright, where did I stop?”
“Come on, you’re not that old..” He gets up to take some beers.
Right, I’m not that old, but I think the story will getting older with thousands of wrinkles.
His name is Oscar. What would a boy called Oscar gonna be like?
He would be the first and last one that I met a guy who called Oscar. One thing I’ve lie to William.
Not three years. There are so many years, almost twenty years, but I’m just twenty- four!
He said he’s an apprentice and would be a real magician in four years later. He had to get the degree after entering the college.
“Magician? Faculty in a college? Seriously?”
“Well, you could not believe, but it’s true. Just think it’s real.”
I was smart and excellent in everything in the college. He tried to get close to me since he’d like to get pass.
Actually, I was not an isolated person, but I always kept the world away from me, the world around me.
William tries to say something, so I pause.
“Why?”
“Just that?..I mean you look like you’re gonna say something impressing..”
“Well, you’re so nice person I’ve never seen actually, not even my mom, you know that..” He smiles at me.
“William, so are you. I know what you’re thinking about.” I drink beer and say. “I really was, William. And I wanna change it.”
I didn’t give him too much, but he taught me a lot. At the end, he’s still never stopping.
Oscar did not belong to here, but he chose here. He said someone led him come to here.
Each time, he walked closer to me, I could feel it. We talked everything. He lived in a small village, and he had four brothers. When he was a young kid, he dreamed of driving a plane in the sky.
He worked so hard in his schoolwork. He knew what he wanna do, and he set the goal, so he would make it no matter when it would be.
I was not.
“I know that feeling..it’s hard..”
“Seriously?”
“Some of my classmates usually do that. They don’t know what they will be engaged in after graduating, and most of us think that’s normal in this kind of changing world. You know what..I don’t think so. And yes, that feeling could normal when you’re keeping your road in your life, which is based on you’re gonna keep sticking to that anyway.”
“You felt that you could not catch up to him, right?” He eats a lot of pieces.
Oscar was my best friend indeed, but I thought I should leave. Different worlds..it will separate us.
One month later, he came to me and said he got all-pass. I told him I had suspended schooling.
“My mom says you always did crazy thing.”
“She’s right, I don’t wanna admit it though.” We laugh out loudly.
“Where have you been for these years?”
“Everywhere.”
“Sounds cool.” “Do you figure out anything?..On the trips, you got a lot, right..what do you get?”
“I think your mom asked me to have conversation with you because you’re really a special boy.”
“Actually she’s just worried about me and hopes me to stay where she could watch for..”
“Not really.. let’s wait and see.” “The story‘s supposed to be paused here, William, it’s time to go home.”
“What is about the love in this story?”
“Two sentences. When you try to have an ideal love, you’ll never get that. You’ll get to have one once you try to let your heart free.”
“Next time, I will tell you more about it, and..”
“And what?”
“I’m still thinking why he treated me like that?”
“Oh no, don’t do that..”
“Alright..I was not that open-minded, but I got few times to be falling in love with someone at that young age. I could feel he might like me, but why me?”
“I think you decided to leave because you were thinking if you’re totally misunderstanding that kind of feeling..oh…I see.”
“Even so, I did it all, and suffered from it. It’s fair.”
“Love is truly suffering anyway.”
“Yeah, you’ll get it.” I give him a hug.
”Tell me more about it next time!” Laura comes to pick him up.
Standing there for a while.
I'm thinking he will not come back anymore. I know it, and still learning it.
Close the door, and lock it, I get indoors.

I suggest you run this by a native speaker of English and ask him for suggestions. For example, instead of "he really gets talent on this," it could be "he's very talented at cooking."
