Few minutes later and numerous words deleted from my note pad, I can attest it isn’t easy at all to write a horror story in just 50 words. Kudos to the writer. I’ll still attempt this challenge, but I need some time to recover from this big L.

In the darkness, I heard my name whispered softly. I lived alone, or so I thought. As I turned, my eyes met the reflection of a sinister figure behind me, grinning widely. But then, when I spun around, the room was empty. The voice returned, closer now. "I'm right here.”
