The Rapture

Post by Johnston316 »

The sun had set on the small town. The sky was lit with a brilliant orange glow, the kind of sky that always made Lucy feel peaceful. She often took a stroll around town at this time of day, just to take in the beauty of the sky.

Tonight, however, something was different. Lucy felt a strange sensation in her stomach, like a wave of warmth that was growing in intensity with each step she took. She realized it was a sense of anticipation, almost like something big was about to happen.

As Lucy walked, she noticed the sky beginning to change. The orange hue was gradually replaced by a brilliant white light, and it seemed to be getting brighter with each step.

Suddenly, Lucy felt herself rising off the ground, and soon she found herself hovering in the air. She looked around and saw that the same thing was happening to every other person in the town, as they all floated up toward the heavens.

The rapture had come. Everyone was ascending to their heavenly reward, and Lucy was right in the middle of it. She felt a wave of peace and happiness envelop her as she rose higher, and she knew that no matter what happened, she would be okay.

It's quite interesting. Are you planning on expanding it?

It's a curious thing to imagine what this would be like, for those who believe it will happen anyways... I enjoyed reading your idea of what the experience might be like.
