Waiting

Post by AtomicEye »

To think of you is to mourn a loss
A memory almost erased
Eroded by a love only you can give
My heart lies still in my chest

Waiting

Waiting for a touch that sparked a thousand possibilities across a thousand lifetimes
A touch that has since turned my soul to stone
My heart lies still in my chest

Waiting

Waiting for the words to ignite a desire that has been lost among the shadows of doubt
My heart lies still in my chest

Waiting

This is a poem that I think would be served best by reading it out loud. I like the juxtaposition of hope and dread. It's a very effective tool.
