A love note

Post by LoveGiven_22 »

Your features are a glimpse into the beauty of the man you really are
Gold is found hidden underground, places that aren't easy to find
That's how I see you
You hide the glitters of your soul thinking the world wouldn't appreciate it with certainty
Deep down, you bury the wonders you offer... you are
All of what makes you who you are, you keep hidden
Afraid of the uncertainty that lies in not knowing whether or not the one you'd bare your soul to would be left enticed and enthralled in all of your beauty
Beauty you're afraid of admitting yourself
Beauty you don't think would be appreciated enough
Beauty, the kind I see when I look at you
You say you bore your soul and the results stung but from the little you've told me, you've revealed much
The much said in unspoken words
The pain behind the valor
Mysteries unknown, even to yourself
The shattered windows shielding an innocent child from the terrors that lurk during the day
What was once a great system, now you're left exposed to it and forced to deal with the rippling effects of generational trauma
But I've seen those pieces
They look similar to mine
Each piece resembling a memory of what once was a picture perfect society
Pieces we're now left to try and piece together in hopes of realigning the memories
Sadly, we've been rushed and the pictures we've pieced together only appeal to the comfort of stability
Sadly, we are too afraid to give ourselves the time to reassemble the pieces
The rock of reality dismembered the remains of the perverted world we once knew
Our efforts are better than those of our forefathers though
They didn't even bother looking back at the pieces
They knew no one would listen
They knew that obeying the system was the only way to survive
But you, my love, are different
You get the idea that the system can be changed
You understand how each piece of the broken window can be placed anyhow and still see the beauty of it all
A Kaleidescape
You aren't afraid of discovering something new
Groundbreaking, even
I'm drawn to you because you seek out
You seek out the knowledge behind the knowledge
The depths do not scare you to a halt but prompt you to push further,
Swim deeper
And until you've reached the bottom, you see it as opportunity to look further
I see that bravery
I admire the intent
I see you
And I couldn't help loving the you that I see
My love, my heart has chosen its path
And it leads straight to you.
