Attitude

What is attitude?
Is it the way I do something you don't like? Is it the way I never fully listen to you when you say something?
Is it when I try to defend myself
To protect myself when you accuse me of something?
Is it me looking at you
My face void of emotion and unblinking?
How about the way my eyes look into the back of my head
When i know you are wrong,
Or you have misunderstood ?
Is it how I stay unmoved and unaffected
By your diminishing words when you tell me off?
You do know, don't you?
You should know
That not everything I do is meant to please you.
That my ears work on based on the importance of what you tell me.
Know that my feelings do matter and my actions will be protected.
These unblinking eyes
Help me stop the tears
that attempt to spew free
Look
I'm sorry that the whites of my eyes offend you
The same whites that only take affect due to your cause.
And I'm especially sorry
That your hurtful words have no meaning.
That my walls constructed from hurt, heartbreak and tears are no longer affected by them
