I Never Knew

I never knew -
A tiny hand upon my face could bring me to tears.

I never knew -
One so small could awaken so many fears.

I never knew -
A little one could captivate me completely.

I never knew -
Petite blue eyes could create chaos so sweetly.

I never knew -
A teensy smile could bring me to my knees.

I never knew -
A hug from mini arms could cause time to freeze.

All these things I never knew -
Until I was blessed with you.
