Lost Baby Girl

Eyes blink fast when you hear my steps
My heart cries loud, wanna hold you tight
Ventilator, make her sleep
Mama prays to the Lord
Stay out the door, the nurse will call
Hide my tears, keep my face clear
She's my hope, the love of my life
Father's girl but mother's world

A sudden call from Doctor
Touch your baby, six days old
But be careful not to take out
Use a finger to touch the rose petal
She won't cry but her eyes will blink

You are big, seven days old
Mama steps in, to see the cutie
MY BABY, WHY IS THIS?
The machine is off
Blink your eyes, mama is here
Look here my baby, please don't go
