With lazy grace she reaches out to grasp the rays of rising sun
And blinks away a fleeing dream, a memory, and then it's gone.
Contented sighs she settles back, a new smile plays across her face
Recalling now another time and visions of another place.

A memory of long ago
A memory of far away
When fate and circumstance combined to bring a future into play...
Glances, dances, dying phone
A few hours grabbed pre journey home.
Two minds connect
Starved hearts find joy
A goodbye kiss from her new "boy".

A stirring brings her back to now
A warm embrace that brings her near
A pair of lips that kiss her neck
A "Melisa" whispered in her ear.
