The definition of grace is aptly summed up in Scott Hughes' poem "What Grace Means to Me" as a harmony between resiliency and vulnerability, assertiveness and compassion, vulnerability and strength. This thoughtful essay explores the importance of leading a purposeful, moral life and handling life's challenges with dignity and intelligence.

I like how the poem tells us to be kind and forgive others, but also to respect ourselves. It makes me want to find inner peace and be happy while still doing my best in life.

It speaks to me somehow I like that about the poem. It's like looking at two sides of the same coin.

Love it, especially the part that says "To choose to turn your life around, before it is too late and there's no life to turn around to." This statement really gave me a better idea on the meaning of grace.

It's the definition of what life should be in poetic words. I like the way it's general yet specific.

I thought this was extremely cool and inspirational. In particular, the sentence "To do without trying." I was struggling to understand it until I realized that sometimes you hardly even try to do the thing you really want to do when grace enters your life. For example, a football player seeking a scout or management may run across that person at a market or another location, and things can start from there. Something for which a person could search their entire life.
