Spoken Word "Old Man Shine"

Post by Hilda Whitter »

{Spoken word)

We would walk
To the bar
Dressed and ready
To rock
Where Old Man Shine
Took me to the top
Look before
You take a shot on the pool table
Walk around
Set it up
Make the next
Shot able
Lay your fingers
Flat on the table
Hold up your thumb
So the stick can
Slide the cradle
Locate your moves
And don't use a
Sissy stick
You don't need
A crutch
Climb, stretch
Search the table
Examine the cue ball
See The Shine
The Shine will
Define and
Set up your game
Take a deep breath
And start
The dance
Time to rock!
