A ROMANTIC LOVE TO THE STUDENT (by: MARIA TERESA D. SALVATIERRA)

Post by MARIA TERESA SALVATIERRA »

In quiet halls where echoes fade,
I found your smile, so softly laid.
A gentle glance, a fleeting spark,
That lit a fire within the dark.
Your laughter rings like sweetest song,
A melody both bright and strong.
Each whispered word, each hopeful sigh,
Becomes the stars within my sky.
I see you lost in books and dreams,
Eyes alight with golden beams.
And though you chase a world unknown,
My heart still calls you as its own.
Through lessons taught and pages turned,
My love for you has slowly burned.
Not in haste, nor reckless flight,
But steady as the moon’s soft light.
I watch you grow, I watch you rise,
With wisdom deep behind your eyes.
Yet every step you take ahead,
Pulls tighter strings of love unsaid.
No marks nor grades could ever chart,
The worth you hold within my heart.
For love is not a test to take,
But something real that none can fake.
So let the seasons come and go,
And winds of change forever blow.
Yet in my heart, you’ll always stay,
A love that time won’t wash away.
One day, perhaps, you’ll come to see,
The love that’s whispered secretly.
Until that day, I’ll stand so near,
A silent love both pure and clear.
If fate allows, if stars align,
Perhaps your hand will rest in mine.
And if not now, then still I swear,
My love for you will linger there.
No matter where your journey leads,
Through fields of hope or distant seas,
Know this—my heart will always be,
A love unbound, eternally.
