POEM TITLE: MASK OF MINE

Mask of mine.

this mask of mine,
it's fit so well, so far so good
no one has asked, hope u are fine.

the pretense smile it portrays, yes! has been my saving grace
I'm scared to face my fears
least I should fail and face disgrace.

this mask of mine
though it's a lie, still hides my pain, covers my shame
and shield the scars on my face.

this masks of mine
yes! could be a setback, the fake life it portrays
could hinder my fame.
who knows?
who I am inside, could be all I need.

I'll wait though.
maybe I'll fine the peace I crave
and the happiness I seek, when I'm in the grave.

the inner pain that no man sees
coated with a deceiving seal

among others it's pure and joyful
but within me, it's all tears and dreadful.

I, clothed with glory, hiding a very sad story.
