In the stillness of dawn
A lone crow perches on its island
A solitary figure in a crooked world.

Through my window's frame ,I watch it stand
A solemn soldier in a desolate land.
Its caw a melancholy yearning for companionship
Alone it remains, in silence, its only kinship.

I empathize with its solitary plight
For in its feathers, I see my own night
A reflection of the loneliness I bear
In a world where love seems rare.
