Day

It was a green and a gold and a blue breezy,
Yeah, a jumpin' up and down day.
Birdful for chirpy and redful for roses,
All bee busy of buzzful
and all yeses for Hooray!

And all wine lazy of sunsetful

Yeah, a day

I like your poem especially "a jumpin' up and down day" - love that line.

Fran, thank you so much for your response to my little attempt at poetry. Do you do any writing yourself? I looked for something by you, but being new to the site, might have missed it.

I concur with Fran: it is a nice piece of writing which takes the play of metaphor down a new and exciting avenues. I enjoyed reading this very much and I hope you will post more of your work!

Thank you, DATo for your comments. I have just read your romance and my lunch remains in place. I thought it was a brave and interesting foray into a genre' new to you. Also read the cause and effect story and intend to reread it more carefully. Very interesting ideas and questions raised.

No I do not aspire to being a writer, apart from reviews that is, but I have huge admiration for both poets & authors.
