Chasing Shadows

Post by Hannah Marie »

finding you is
chasing shadows
straight into the sidewalk

your chalky features
blur in black
and blue secret cracks

I thought a gasp
slipped from your silhouette
to beg my dreams to stay

till dawn, I heard only
windy wishes,
also out of reach

Good poem Hannah!!
When people say you've changed, it just means that you have stopped living your life, their way.

I like what the poem has to say and how it says it. I especially like the alliteration which seemed appropriately phrased to the context and not forced. Well done!
