Great Sights

Post by Ayobami Kehinde »

I saw some great sights yesterday:
A tree was flying in the air,
And a bird was planted on the ground,
With her young ones grown out of it as branches;
A woman was cooking in a leaf,
A huge piece of yam-
She placed the leaf on fire,
And yet the yam cooked and the leaf did not burn;

I saw some great sights yesterday:
A pair of shoes was wearing a man;
A man was eating a shop and backing a plate of beans;
And a teenage girl cooked a pot of sand and ate it with so much glee
That she told me it tasted really sweet.

These were the great sights I saw yesterday,
They were great indeed, weren't they?
