Still undone

Post by ArtiMishra »

Walking alone, I shall be danger prone
It was not my choice, I confess
You are the reason, more or less.

It was you who said
That you want a separate shed
This heart started to bleed
You never paid any heed
Doesn't mean its all your deed
Which sprouted this deadly seed

Sorting out was just the need
Here's a piece of my mind
You better read

I cared for you
And still care for you
Moody and morose are not my truth
We had a jolly time
And forgetting them is your crime

So here I come
And hereforth I announce
And hear me well
You are not my Achilles' heel
That is what I have come to feel

The winds are changing
The seasons changed
And so has the might of will
It is firm like a hill

I swear in the name of stars and the sun,
I swear that I am still undone

This is a well knitted poem, talking about someone whom he/she loved but are apart now. The writer feels has a chance to reconcile. There is a good introduction to the poem and a conclusion too, but would advice to improve the poem's structure. Create those patterns that meet the eye.

This is such an emotional poem. I can totally imagine being in the writer's shoes.
"Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."
