Tomorrow's Promise

Post by asiangirl22 »

TOMORROW'S PROMISE
Yesterday is over and done,
Here comes a brand new day;
The love you once found’s gone,
For it was never meant to stay.

So kiss yesterday goodbye,
Nothing there but loneliness;
Don’t look back, don’t ask why,
For tomorrow promises happiness.

And if today brings another sorrow,
Just carry on, be brave and strong;
After every storm, a rainbow shall follow,
To guide your heart where it belong.

Awww thanks for sharing this. The rhyming is on point! I feel like singing to this. Keep it up! <3

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

I like this poem, which talks about the flow of time from yesterday to today to tomorrow. There is hope that better things may come. The rhythm is good and the flow of information is great.

So much meaning! Even if today turns out bad, it only becomes yesterday, with all the loneliness. Tomorrow promises happiness and that's a lot of hope. Thank you for sharing!
