The Bomb That has Become Me
The snippets of happiness only delay the inevitable.
I try to diffuse the bomb in my brain
But I always hear the ticking of the detonator, reminding me that time is of the essence.
I have the slightest idea when the timer will end, when my time has come.
But I know this
Nothing is permanent, and I am always aware of this bomb that has become me.
It seems that those around me have no idea,
Despite the number of signs I have given them.
"It'll pass."
"You'll be okay."
"You're just overreacting."
No.
That is not how a bomb works.
All bombs explode at some point,
This will be no different.
I will explode,
And it will not be pretty.

This will be no different."
That was the high note for me.
I love this piece.

I love this piece.
Same as me.
All bombs explode at some point,
This will be no different.
I will explode,
And it will not be pretty.
