I am not one to read poetry avidly but this is beautiful and at first I assumed it was a well known poem.

I know the feeling. I only compose piano music once every few years!! Very frustrating. I spend all that time between songs sitting at the bench, staring at the keys.

Have you considered turning this poem into a piece of art and giving it to someone special?
